SENIOR HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Prioritizing Wellness

The smell of fresh croissants in the morning. A vigorous walk with friends before lunch. Enjoying a lecture from a visiting artist. Each of these experiences has an impact on our overall health. Cultivating holistic wellness is key to healthy aging. Every aspect of life at The Waterford is designed with this in mind, ensuring that residents live each day fully and well.

To ensure good health: eat lightly, breathe deeply, live moderately, cultivate cheerfulness, and maintain an interest in life.

Physical Wellness

Our physical goals and ambitions are uniquely personal, and a wellness program should take this into account. Wellness programs at The Waterford are tailored to your goals, needs, and interests, and managed by experts. Regular physical activity can reduce stress and improve cognitive function, leading to a better quality of life. So take your pet for a walk on the campus pathways, enjoy weekly yoga or aerobics classes, or speak with a nutritionist for healthy eating tips. It’s all designed to help fuel your adventures!

Mental Wellness

Social connections are key to enhancing our mental health. Community living makes it easy to connect with others, whether that’s enjoying an evening meal with a new neighbor, going on a group trip to a nearby farmers market in Juno Beach, or playing a round of golf at the PGA National Resort, there are numerous ways you can form new friendships here that support mental wellness.

Spiritual Wellness

We all seek meaning in our lives, aspiring to be part of something greater than ourselves. This sense of spiritual wellness will look different to everyone. It could mean connecting with your faith community, volunteering with fellow residents to help others, or spending time in personal contemplation while exploring the community grounds.
